What should education look like post-COVID? How do we get there?

Many are looking forward to a time when we can go back to “normal” in education; however, that "normal" wasn't working for too many of our children, youth, families and communities. While we await the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine, we have an opportunity to imagine what a post-COVID education system can and should look like.

Join us for a series of live, online conversations with nationally recognized speakers and emerging voices who will share their visions for post-COVID education through an emancipatory lens and to identify steps to enact their visions.  Read through the remainder of this page to learn more and register for each of our upcoming speaker events and check this page throughout February and March for updates about additional speaker events!

This speaker series has been sponsored by the SJSU Connie L. Lurie College of Education and Division of Student Affairs.

Attend Santiago Canyon College's Virtual Tomorrow's Teachers Conference. This FREE conference is open to high school and community college students interested in pursuing a career in teaching. An amazing keynote speaker and various workshops on topics related to teaching will be presented. Every year the conference has over 400 participants from throughout Orange County. Don't miss out on this amazing conference for future teachers!

    Greetings TPP Community!

I wanted to forward the information about the Santiago Canyon College Tomorrow’s Teachers Annual Conference (virtual this year) in hopes that you might spread the word to your campuses and program students.

Since we are virtual and free, I wanted to open it up to a larger audience and have future teacher students from all over invited to attend.

It is a great way for students to gain some additional hours in their fieldwork courses since most of us have opted to add “professional development workshops” to field experience in lieu of 45 hours of just watching teaching videos!

If it feels useful…spread the word.

Below is the link and TTC flyer that can be shared with others. Registration is now open and students can register at www.sccollege.edu/TTC
