    DEAR CCCAOE MEMBERS,

For the last 5 years, CCCAOE has strived to bring you the most cutting edge professional development to support your career education efforts. The time is upon us where we will have to increase our conference registration fee to $645 in 2020 (will include cost of pre-conference sessions). With this increase, we will be able to keep pace with the rising costs of food and facilities and maintain our commitment to bring you the best career education conference in the state (and the most fun)!

The conference will be held on March 19 and 20 in Sacramento at the Citizen Hotel.  This is an opportunity for ACCCTEP members to work with our University partners as we continue to pursue our shared efforts to advocate for teacher education in regards to state policy. This is a unique invitation as CCTE has formally recognized ACCCTEP as an educational partner organization.  Attached are the formal conference announcement and registration forms.  While the announcement includes a preview of the conference, the updated program will include a Thursday morning Special Interest Group discussion facilitated by ACCCTEP on the community college role in recruiting and retaining a diverse teacher pipeline as well as an open ACCCTEP Board Meeting on Friday.  We encourage you to join us for the Policy Action and ACCCTEP activities.

If you have any questions about the SPAN Conference, please feel free to contact me at mkaplinsky@lbcc.edu or ACCCTEP President Janis Perry at Perry_Janis@sccollege.edu.  We hope to see you in Sacramento!  Let us know if you plan to attend.
